I'LL STILL BE FREE

This tackles the hurt of being unable to move forward from past relationship but realizing that he/she will be able to do so but it may take some time to heal all the hurt it has caused.

Someday you’ll be gone,
My heart, it’ll find a way,
And realize what you have done,
But I know it’s not today.

You’ll be forgotten,
My mind it’ll find a way,
And realize I’ve mistaken,
There is got to be a way.

And I still believe,
That I will still be free,
From all the memories that thieve,
Our future I wouldn’t see.

I’ll still be free soon,
From your voice and your song,
That make the sun go ‘round the moon,
Make it shine but not for long.

Though it cheers a bit,
Though I need your kisses,
I will learn to live without it,
Though my soul really misses.

Inside I’m dying,
Like, in a cage, a dove,
Can’t help it, I’m always crying,
I’m a pris’ner of your love.

And now here’s the deal,
It will all fade away,
But please let love take time to heal,
‘Cause I know it’s not today.

I set a charm to the top of your head, to the sole of your foot, to each side of your breast, that you may not leave me or forsake me.
