What is S.H.I.E.L.D? S.H.I.E.L.D. stands for Supreme Headquarters International, Espionage and Law-enforcement Division, currently known as Strategic Hazard Intervention Espionage Logistics Directorate. It is a Marvel Comics fictional counterterrorism and intelligence agency.
Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Agent Phil Coulson assembles a small, highly select group of Agents from the worldwide law-enforcement organization known as S.H.I.E.L.D. Together they investigate the new, the strange, and the unknown across the globe, protecting the ordinary from the extraordinary.
