NO! DO YOURSELF A FAVOR

Yes, I can’t stand still watching others in need, but at the same time I can’t help everyone to my own damage. Remember: Just because I CAN do something, doesn’t mean I should.

THE GODDESS OF FAVORS: A friend who asks favors again and again with annoying frequency is the one to be alert for and learn how to refuse. Her main concern is her own agenda and she has little regard for your feelings and what’s on your plate.

GOD SAVE THE QUEEN IN NEED: Another friend you want to be wary of is the one who uses people who need to be needed and who will therefore be helpful.

BEST ACTRESS: You may have a friend who sweet talks you. She compliments excessively and often insincerely, especially in order to win favor. She’ll tell you that you do whatever she needs done better.

Sure, they may dislike you and tell you hate words and it’ll take time getting used to saying no to people’s requests, but you know it’s going to irritate you if you don’t have a limit in doing a favor.

If she is a true friend, a close friend will understand and you are normally there for her. If the relationship is open and honest, you do not have to always try to please your close friend to keep the friendship solid.

Saying "NO" to a favor is a right we have -- a right that we don’t exercise often enough. Even when a best friend or a close friend is involved, saying "NO" is one of the most liberating things we can do for ourselves.
